ALEXANDRA MITCHELL AND KELLEY ROBINSON WIN YOUNG HORSE SERIES FINALS AT OTTAWA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Maplebrook Farm partnered with Wesley Clover Parks for the 2024 season to provide increased opportunities for young horse development with all class and nomination fees waived for horses enrolled in the series.
Mitchell took full advantage of the opportunity to develop her new partner, Casallco Aurora, and contested all the seven-year-old classes offered throughout the season at Wesley Clover Parks. A third-place finish in the final event in the series, the $5,000 Seven-Year-Old Young Horse Finale, on Sunday gave Mitchell enough points to claim the overall title. Read more from Jump Media

ELIZABETH BATES WINS $15,000 CITYSCAPE GRAND PRIX AT OTTAWA NATIONAL
When Bates, a native of Toronto, ON, who is now based in Brussels, Belgium, decided to return for a North American tour, competing at Wesley Clover Parks was high on her list. Bates had fond memories of winning the 2015 edition of the Brookstreet Grand Prix riding Wildfire the year before she relocated to Europe. It was a sweet homecoming, as Bates once again found herself leading the victory gallop following the $15,000 Cityscape Grand Prix. Read more from Jump Media

TIFFANY FOSTER TAKES ELECTRIFYING GRAND PRIX VICTORY AT MAJOR LEAGUE SHOW JUMPING OTTAWA
Tiffany Foster of Langley, BC, closed out Major League Show Jumping Ottawa with a win riding Electrique in the $182,000 USD CSI5* RBC Grand Prix on Sunday, August 25, at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON. Foster set the jump-off challenge by jumping clear in a time of 41.34 seconds and while American Bliss Heers also left all the rails in place, she did it in a slower time of 43.52 seconds riding Quality Star Z. It was an all-female podium with Erynn Ballard of Tottenham, ON, taking third with the fastest four-fault effort in a time of 39.24 seconds riding Gakhir for owner Ilan Ferder. GIAVANNA RINALDI RIDES TO VICTORY IN KUBOTA GRAND PRIX AT MAJOR LEAGUE SHOW JUMPING OTTAWA
The American anthem rang out as Giavanna Rinaldi celebrated victory in the $31,100 USD CSI2* Kubota Grand Prix on Saturday, August 24, at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON. “It's my first season doing Major League Show Jumping and I’m really excited to be out here,” said Rinaldi, who is competing as a member of the Archers team. “The field is amazing. It rides great and I love jumping on the grass. There’s a nice crowd here, nice atmosphere, and we got really lucky with the weather. Luis Larrazabal of Venezuela made his first visit to Wesley Clover Parks a winning one by scoring victory in the $62,500 USD CSI5* Steel-Craft Qualifier on opening day of the Major League Show Jumping Ottawa tournament. Of his first trip to compete at Wesley Clover Parks, Larrazabal noted, “It's unbelievable here. The show, the people, the hospitality – everything is top, top class. DAVID ARCAND DOMINATES $50,000 RBC GRAND PRIX AT OTTAWA SUMMER TOURNAMENT
David Arcand of Boisbriand, QC, won the $50,000 RBC Grand Prix on Sunday, July 14, to close out the two-week Ottawa Summer Tournaments at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON. “My plan was to do a clear efficient round,” said Arcand, 34, of his approach to the jump-off. “I lost a shoe again this week after number two. YANN CANDELE LEADS THE WAY TO VICTORY AT OTTAWA SUMMER TOURNAMENT
Canadian Olympian Yann Candele of Orangeville, ON, produced the only clear round to win the $5,000 Modified Grand Prix, presented by Cristina’s Equine Bodywork, on Saturday, July 13, during the Ottawa Summer Tournament II at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON.
A total of 20 riders attempted the track set by U.S. course designer Nick Granat on Wesley Clover Parks’ grass grand prix field. Eight of those incurred time faults for exceeding the 76-second time allowed but Candele made easy work of the track, guiding Veritas over the jumps and through the timers in a comfortable 74.38 seconds. Surprisingly, no one else was able to post a perfect score over the course, leaving Candele as the winner without a jump-off. Read more from Jump Media

David Arcand won the $50,000 Brookstreet Grand Prix, the feature event of the Ottawa Summer Tournament I, on Saturday, July 6, at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON.
The win marked the second time in a week that the professional athlete from Boisbriand, QC, led the victory gallop.
